The Forest Hill Collection A collection of hand printed wallpapers, linens and velvets created in collaboration by South East London based design practices 2LG Studio and Custhom.
Designed as a series of floral textures creating layers for interiors – they were inspired by classic florals, re-imagining them for contemporary interiors and architectural spaces.
The collaboration seeded itself two years ago when 2LG began renovating their Forest Hill home and discovered a fragment of old floral wallpaper beneath several layers of paint and paper. They shared this moment with Custhom and it began to grow into a full collection as the tiny floral stayed in all of their minds.

Aves draws on the rich heritage of Otomi fabrics from Mexico. The tactile designs depict a menagerie of creatures, delicately stitched on paper and cotton in a palette of soft grey and dark charcoal, creating designs that are at once dramatic and refined. While the fabric is immediately reminiscent of the original Otomi designs, the unexpected application of the same embroidered motif on wallpaper offers a striking alternative outcome. The pattern is rooted in tradition but offers a contemporary and graphic interpretation. Echoing the craftsmanship of the original hand embroidery, CUSTHOM have maintained the use of stitch and have sourced the finest modern British craftsmen in the North of England to embroider their design. Wallpaper by You is simply giving you the autonomy to create what will best suit your home. As a studio who hand make our wallpapers, we are able to quickly make creative changes. A service we have offered our professional partners over the last decade, we have now developed a simple digital platform for you to co-create with us. Once you have finalised your design, we print using super low VOC mineral derived paints on a responsibly sourced FSC paper base and hand screen print this for you, with the option of a sample before productio . Samples are 50cm x 70cm so can be used as a framed print or any cost of sampling will be deducted from your wallpaper order.

The blocks of rich colour draw focus to the variety of individual forms within the window’s composition, inverting the traditional emphasis on the frame with its geometric lines being defined as negative space. Each drop of this wallpaper contains a single window, the classic colour combination offering an elegant slant on this dramatic design. An individual section is 3m high and can be cut to the required size to create a wall of windows. A single roll contains three windows, bespoke heights can be made to order for more specific spaces where greater heights are required.

The bold graphic patterns of the Goldsmiths collection are created using digital embroidery. The stitches create a clean defined line and an arresting, tactile effect. Each roll is then block printed by hand in London, disrupting the repetition of the embroidered design. As a result, each roll and final composition is unique and, as the pattern is non-repeating, no paper is wasted in hanging.

The Forest Hill Collection A collection of hand printed wallpapers, linens and velvets created in collaboration by South East London based design practices 2LG Studio and Custhom.
Designed as a series of floral textures creating layers for interiors - they were inspired by classic florals, re-imagining them for contemporary interiors and architectural spaces.
The collaboration seeded itself two years ago when 2LG began renovating their Forest Hill home and discovered a fragment of old floral wallpaper beneath several layers of paint and paper. They shared this moment with Custhom and it began to grow into a full collection as the tiny floral stayed in all of their minds.

Made in Stoke On Trent using the finest bone china, CUSTHOM’s ceramics combine quality with graphic finesse. The Curve design is inspired by typography and the interplay between line, pattern and negative space. Each piece has four variations in design, defined by the scale and number of circles present on the cup. The graphic zig-zag pattern creating each design is printed in grey and the hand painted gold rims add the signature CUSTHOM metallic accent.

Aves draws on the rich heritage of Otomi fabrics from Mexico. The tactile designs depict a menagerie of creatures, delicately stitched on paper and cotton in a palette of soft grey and dark charcoal, creating designs that are at once dramatic and refined. While the fabric is immediately reminiscent of the original Otomi designs, the unexpected application of the same embroidered motif on wallpaper offers a striking alternative outcome. The pattern is rooted in tradition but offers a contemporary and graphic interpretation. Echoing the craftsmanship of the original hand embroidery, CUSTHOM have maintained the use of stitch and have sourced the finest modern British craftsmen in the North of England to embroider their design. Using digital embroidery, the traditional Otomi creatures are expressed with graphic precision, geometric shapes underpinning the organic imagery.

This oversized ‘curve’ zig-zag covers the width of the entire roll. In a rich pumice grey and French grey, the bold angular line is highlighted using the signature Custhom metallic accent, with a delicate copper contour edging the divide between colours. The paper is hand silkscreen printed and has an grain print finish. The design can be aligned and hung in a uniform direction to create a solid wall of the curve zig-zag pattern, or with alternate ‘drops’ inverted, creating dramatic and graphic grey diamonds.
